My topical submission for this year’s NBC late night workshop.
I’m posting this in September after the cohort of 2020 has been announced. But I’m dating the post back in April when I wrote it, because the world has changed tremendously since.
Which was also one of the themes of this piece. How we had to keep readjusting to a new reality, almost every few weeks or days even in 2020. The week of Super Tuesday is also the week we found ourselves having to stay at home because of COVID19. And we had no idea what the summer would bring.
Anyway, I know this feels like a hundred years ago, but I was really proud of this piece and I wanted it to share (also in the hopes that some of my friends could realize the collective mourning the primaries had meant to some women).
